CASE
The Brunswick’s elegant 38mm cushion-shaped case has no flat surfaces. The case’s graceful curves are machined from 316L stainless steel, to a level usually reserved for precious metals. The depth of the polish showcases the sophistication of the machinery and the skill of the operator.
The Brunswick 38 'Charcoal Rose' is manually wound each day using our bespoke ‘onion’-shaped winding crown, signed with the Fears Cypher. The crown’s fine grooves catch the light, adding a touch of radiance to the edge of the case.
CASEBACK
The Brunswick 38 'Charcoal Rose' comes with the option of either:
Open exhibition caseback – offering an unobstructed view of the finely decorated movement housed inside.
Closed caseback – offering the perfect canvas for personalisation with a custom engraving (see engraving options here).
DIAL
The Brunswick 38 'Charcoal Rose' reimagines classic elegance with a contemporary multi-tonal dial that draws inspiration from the subtle hues found throughout the Fears Archive. Its granular textured charcoal base provides a sophisticated backdrop for accents of 18ct rose gold, a first in the modern Fears era.
Expertly made in Germany, this multi-level dial features a granular charcoal finish on the central section, with a sunken sub-seconds at 6 o'clock and a minute track with fine concentric guilloche finish in 18ct rose gold.
The hand-applied numerals are milled from a block of brass before being diamond polished, frosted, coated in pure silver, and finished in 18ct rose gold, giving them a bright and unmissable appearance. A wider set of Fears’ proprietary 'Edwin' numerals was developed specifically for this reference to balance classic and contemporary styling.
HANDS
The Brunswick 38 'Charcoal Rose' features iconic ‘[Fears]-shaped’ hands, expertly made in Germany. They are milled from solid brass with a bevel cut down the centre using a diamond tool.
The hour and minute hands feature a lightly frosted finish before receiving 18ct rose gold coating to match the polished 3D numerals. The seconds hand is coated in contrasting black varnish.
MOVEMENT
The Brunswick 38 'Charcoal Rose' is powered by a Swiss-made, manual winding La Joux-Perret D100 movement. This top-grade version offers an extended 50-hour power reserve and is finished with Côtes de Genève and blued screws.
STRAP
The Brunswick 38 'Charcoal Rose' is fitted with a handmade Chestnut Brown strap crafted from the finest Cordovan leather with premium fold-over edges. This exceptional leather represents the art of tanning at its finest, sourced from the shell membrane of horsehide ordinarily reserved for the world’s finest shoemakers.
The labour-intensive six-month tanning process produces a smooth texture with deep lustre and unmatched durability.
The strap is lined in genuine Alcantara® dyed deep blue, soft against the skin yet resistant to wear. It is finished with Fears' bespoke pin buckle featuring the Fears Cypher.
BRACELET
The Brunswick 38 'Charcoal Rose' is also available with Fears bespoke stainless steel 5-link bracelet.
Featuring expertly brushed and polished solid screw links, the bracelet has a substantial feel while maintaining a silky-smooth movement around the wrist. It can be micro-adjusted with both 8mm and 6mm links to ensure a perfect fit.
The bracelet is secured with a trigger-release butterfly clasp, with the Bristol flower enamelled discreetly inside the blades.
The Brunswick 38 features a 20mm lug width and is designed to fit all of the straps in our range. The bracelet can be removed without tools using quick-release spring bars.
INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED
Each watch we make carries a unique serial number. Engraved between the 20mm lugs at 12 o’clock, this number helps us identify your watch and its history.
