Christopher Ward C1 Jump Hour Mk V - Noon Blue
Christopher Ward C1 Jump Hour Mk V
A luminous evolution of an icon.
The C1 Jump Hour Mk V marks the fifth generation of Christopher Ward’s celebrated jump-hour lineage — a series that began in 2011 with the C9 Harrison and redefined what an accessible mechanical complication could be. Powered by the ingenious JJ01 modular movement, developed by Johannes Jahnke, this latest evolution blends modern design with the same spirit of technical innovation that has always defined the collection.
A translucent sapphire ring printed with minute markers and filled with Super-LumiNova® encircles the dial, glowing cool blue after dark while revealing the hidden hour wheel beneath. Four polished pins anchor the ring in perfect symmetry, framing a richly layered dial that plays with light and texture — from the sunray-brushed centre to the circular-brushed and high-grain metallic outer ring.
The jumping hour display itself is constructed in two parts, showcasing art-deco-inspired numerals on a lumed hour disc. At the centre, a first for Christopher Ward: a sapphire minute hand, arched to float gracefully above the dial and glowing softly from within.
Housed in a 39 mm stainless-steel case with brushed flanks, polished facets, and a box-domed sapphire crystal, the Mk V is finished with a detailed caseback design marking each hour of the jump wheel — a nod to the mechanical precision beneath.
Offered in Noon Blue and Dusk Gold, each dial captures a different mood — from the crisp clarity of daylight to the warmth of evening — yet both express the same balance of heritage and innovation that defines the C1 Jump Hour Mk V.
