DOXA Army

In the 1960s, Doxa started suppling the elite Swiss Army Divers Unit with a purpose-built timepiece – the Doxa Army. Today, Doxa honours this legacy with a collection reinterpreting these unique models. The modern iterations pay homage to the original design while incorporating subtle touches of modernity, ensuring they resonate with contemporary vintage watch enthusiasts. The collection features models with two distinct bezel options: a sleek stainless steel or a modern bronze version – which marks the first time Doxa has made use of the material.

DOXA Army

A timepiece faithful to its roots

The Doxa Army dial seamlessly bridges the gap between past and present. The design proudly showcases its heritage through details like the familiar date window at 3 o’clock, the unmistakable crosshair logo, and the off-centre Army sign. These elements are meticulously recreated to evoke the spirit of the original timepiece. Furthering the connection to the past, the colour palette includes a creamy centre dial that complements the vibrant orange hands and black minute scale – a colour combination reminiscent of the era that inspired the Doxa Army.

The Dora Army prioritises comfortable wear. Despite its 42.5mm diameter (44.5 lug-to lug), the watch feels surprisingly compact on the wrist. The thin profile, measuring just 11.95mm in height further contributes to its comfortable wear. While the popular Doxa Sub 300 and Sub 300T series feature decompression bezels, the Doxa Army takes a different approach. It includes a classic 60-minute countdown bezel, ideal for traditional dive timing, with bold markers generously coated in SuperLuminova for exceptional low-light readability.
