Straum Jan Mayen Arctic

Nature in flux

As with all Straum’s creations, the magic unfolds on the dial. Each model captures a distinct natural phenomenon visible on the Arctic island of Jan Mayen. The Aurora Sky version brings the night alive with deep blue tones and vibrant green ripples that mimic the movement of the northern lights. Meanwhile, the Meltwater Teal dial reflects the gradual melting of glacial ice, rendered through the same vertical texture.

Straum’s Arctic models carry forward the signature 38.7mm stainless steel case and slim 11.5mm profile of the Jan Mayen line, striking a perfect balance between presence and wearability. The presence of a sunburst-finished bezel enhances visual appeal, while a double-domed sapphire crystal provides dependable scratch protection. Beneath, applied indices and diamond-cut hands, infused with Grade A Super-LumiNova, ensure the watches stay easy to read, day or night.

Straum Jan Mayen Arctic HIGHLIGHTS

A rare Arctic glow

Adding a rare twist to the Arctic lineup, Straum has unveiled the limited edition Purple Borealis, offered in both stainless steel and lightweight titanium. The design is inspired by the STEVE, a rare and mesmerising phenomenon where luminous fast-moving purple ribbons form beneath the Aurora Borealis.

The Swiss advantage

At the heart of the Jan Mayen Arctic collection beats the Swiss-made La Joux-Perret G101, offering an impressive 68-hour power reserve. Rated as Soigné grade, this calibre features a custom rotor, which is visible through a transparent sapphire crystal caseback. Designed for versatility, each model delivers 100m of water resistance and comes fitted with an integrated style steel bracelet, while the titanium limited edition opts for a sleek FKM rubber strap.
