The 02Series takes a hypothetical 1945 British Ministry of Defence request for a battlefield watch as its starting point. While the request itself might be fictional, the inspiration is very real.
The true star of the Studio UnderD0g 02Series is undoubtedly the dial. While the layout maintains a simple yet elegant aesthetic, it’s the construction and luminescence that truly set this collection apart. Each dial utilises a unique sandwich construction, featuring a coloured base layer topped with sapphire crystal. Studio UnderD0g takes things a step further with a distinctive application of luminescence in three of the four models. These models boast dials entirely coated with seven layers of Super-LumiNova, employing a reverse application technique. Instead of the numerals themselves glowing, the process creates luminous silhouettes for the hour markers, resulting in a striking visual effect. The fourth model in the collection offers a traditional approach, featuring a non-luminous dial with conventionally glowing numerals.
