James' Top 5 Christopher Ward watches in our Studio

James' Top 5 Christopher Ward Watches from Our Studio

Christopher Ward has built one hell of a reputation for delivering high-quality, beautifully designed pieces that blend the best of British and Swiss watchmaking for an incredible price. Ever since my Dad bought his first 'nice' watch in 2006, a Christopher Ward Malvern C3 automatic, I've loved this brand. From elegant dress watches to robust divers, the brand consistently offers incredible value. With so many great models in our studio, narrowing it down to just five favourites certainly wasn't easy, but here are my standout Christopher Ward watches you need to check out. I've tried to give you a varied collection for every watch nerd from every walk of life. Yes, I know what you are. Why else would you be reading this?

Christopher Ward C1 Bel Canto - Dragonfly
Showroom Exclusive – Only available in person

Christopher Ward C1 Bel Canto - Dragonfly - Image
You can't bring up Christopher Ward without talking about this timepiece. The watch that redefined Christopher Ward as a serious horology player. The C1 Bel Canto - Dragonfly is a mechanical chiming masterpiece, featuring a dial showcasing a Sonnerie au Passage complication which is a complication that chimes on the hour adding a horological spark to your day that leaves a little smirk on your face. The sunburst teal dial is a beautiful compliment to the watch, sat behind the chiming mechanism. The blue-green ‘Dragonfly’ hue is exclusive to showrooms only, making this a must-see (and must-hear) piece for collectors. Trust me, this one’s worth the visit.

Christopher Ward C60 Pro 300 Bronze - Brown Ombré

A diver with vintage charm and modern tech, the C60 Pro 300 Bronze pairs a warm, patina-developing case with a stunning brown ombré dial that transitions from dark to light. Water-resistant to 300m and powered by a Swiss automatic movement, it’s an adventure-ready watch with that unique bronze personality that evolves and ages elegantly over time.

Christopher Ward C12 The Twelve Ti COSC - 40mm - Astral Blue

For those who love integrated bracelet sports watches and would be more comfortable paying less than what it costs to buy a sizable house, the C12 The Twelve Ti COSC is a lightweight, slim, titanium masterpiece with an eye catching dial that gets people asking, "What is that watch?" who doesn't love a bit of recognition?. With a finely brushed case and a deeply textured Astral Blue dial, this COSC-certified chronometer offers exceptional accuracy while remaining incredibly comfortable on the wrist. A real modern icon that you can wear everyday.

Christopher Ward C1 Moonphase - 37mm

So i've recently recognised that Aventurine is a real weakness of mine. I borrowed this watch for our latest event at the studio and fell in love. Paired with a dark suit it's hard to find a more appropriate and impressive watch. The C1 Moonphase brings that lunar elegance to your wrist that compliments any evening outift. The oversized, luminescent moon display is a stunning centrepiece, framed by what appears to be a night sky made out of Aventurine, which is crushed glass which is then baked, with metal fragments creating an illusion of stars. I prefer the 37mm case but this comes in both 39mm and 40.5mm for larger wrists. Trust me, after trying this on you will fall in love.

Christopher Ward C63 Sealander GMT - 39mm - White

The 39mm Christopher Ward C63 Sealander GMT has received widespread acclaim for offering outstanding value, solid build quality, and excellent legibility. I could wear this everyday and would be a great option if you travel abroad a lot, which is the first option I show often my clients who do. It's an excellent option for a mid-range GMT watch, especially for those who favour a simple, clean look and a comfortable fit on the wrist with that extra GMT option. This watch is praised for its well-designed, high-quality lume, and the smooth performance of the Sellita SW330-2 GMT movement complimented with an orange GMT hand. The C63 is available at a price considered highly competitive given its features and versatility. This watch is a sturdy, everyday travel companion.

Thanks for reading this far. That's my top Christopher Ward watches. And as always, thank you for being a valued part of the Time+Tide community. Your passion for watches is what keeps us bringing in the best and most exciting pieces!

Cheers!
