Dial drama, made by hand

The NORQAIN Independence models pair a captivating gradient dial with a bold 40mm case and a 12.05mm profile, resulting in a confident, well-balanced wrist presence. Most distinctive is the hand-applied “scratched” finish on the dial, making every watch entirely unique. A discreet date window at 3 o’clock adds everyday practicality.

The NORQAIN Independence gradient dial is further emphasised by a black inner flange, adding depth and contrast. Rectangular indices and rhodium-plated hands are filled with X1 Super-LumiNova for strong nighttime visibility. An orange-tipped seconds hand adds a subtle pop of colour, echoing the Chronometer writing at the bottom of the dial.

At the heart of the NORQAIN Independence beats the COSC-certified NN08 calibre, on display through a sapphire crystal caseback for those who like to admire the mechanics. A screw-down crown engraved with the NORQAIN logo secures 100 metres of water resistance, a key feature for any modern sports watch. Finally, the Independence 40mm is offered with an integrated bracelet featuring on-the-fly micro-adjustment.

Guided by the spirit of discovery, the Independence 40mm by NORQAIN extends the brand’s vision through a collaboration with the Hakuna Mipaka Oasis. Created in collaboration with Dean Schneider, founder of this South Africa wildlife sanctuary, the watch features a DLC-coated stainless steel case, a leopard-pattern dial, and a velour-style rubber strap. Powering the model is the exact same movement found in the standard Independence models.
