A lumed underlayer peeks through cut-through numerals on the upper layer, crafted in Oak & Oscar’s exclusive typeface, giving the display depth and clarity. A recessed date window at 6 o'clock intersects with a central chapter ring, adding balance to the design. The result is a dial that delivers exceptional readability and unmistakable presence—day or night.

The Burnham marked Oak & Oscar’s debut in 2015, laying the foundation for the brand’s distinctive identity. Crafted from the ground up, this inaugural model pays homage to Daniel Burnham, the legendary architect and city planner who helped shape Chicago’s identity through his visionary designs. Boasting a solid 42mm case with bold, masculine lines, the Burnham is an everyday piece that will appeal to those drawn to workwear aesthetics and functional design with a twist.

Making an instant impression, the Burnhams’ second-hand features a vivid orange tone and a unique counter balance that mirrors the “barrel” detail in the brand’s logo. Watch closely and you’ll notice it can perfectly eclipse the logo on the dial, a playful nod to the “Oak” aspect in the brand’s name, which refers to the founder’s passion for bourbon. Meanwhile, the dark grey sword-shaped hands for hours and minutes are fully lumed for round-the-clock visibility.
