Oak & Oscar Olmsted

Dial design done right

The Olmsted’s dial is a showcase of Oak & Oscar’s meticulous attention to detail. Built using a sandwich construction, it pairs a lower layer (lumed on select models) with a top layer boasting crisp cutouts for the numerals. Custom-designed by Oak & Oscar, the typeface adds more personality to the dial while ensuring exceptional legibility. With four dial colours and the option of a date or no-date layout, the Olmsted lets you choose your perfect balance of form and function.

Named in honour of Frederick Law Olmsted, the father of American landscaping and the mind behind Chicago’s Jackson Park and New York City’s iconic Central Park, the Olmsted field watch celebrates legacy through competent design. Crafted from 316L stainless steel, its 38mm case suits a wide range of wrists, while the slim 10.8mm thickness makes for an easy, comfortable wear from morning to midnight.

Oak & Oscar Olmsted HIGHLIGHTS

Time marked with character

Surrounding the dial is a rehaut with cardinal numbers printed in orange, a vibrant accent mirrored by the distinctive seconds hand with a barrel-shaped counter balance (a reference to the “Oak” part in the brand name). As it sweeps across the dial, the seconds hand playfully eclipses the Oak & Oscar logo beneath the word “automatic”, a clever and deliberate alignment that further highlights the brand’s passion for details.

Precision that never sleeps

At the heart of the Oak & Oscar Olmsted collection beats either the Sellita SW300 or ETA 2892A2, depending on the model. Each offers a dependable 42-hour power reserve, ensuring the watch keeps up with you day after day. Oak & Oscar makes its mark with a custom 4-star rotor design, yet another nod to the Windy City. Bundled with 100 metres of water resistance and strap options ranging from elegant leather to practical stainless steel, the Olmstead is as adaptable as it is distinctive.
